Expansion of the Spectra Premium Machining Workshop

Mandate

Development of engineering plans (structure and foundations) for the expansion of the machining workshop and creation of a new cafeteria space at Spectra Premium in Boucherville. Design and fabrication plans for a 2x16T overhead crane.

Challenges

The main challenge of this project was designing a new production area located between two existing buildings. It was necessary to create new circulation spaces, relocate existing structural elements, and design foundations to support the expansion. Every aspect had to be carefully planned to optimize the integration between the old and new parts of the workshop while adhering to technical constraints and safety standards.
