Drawings for the Suspension Bridge at Percé Geopark

Mandate

Production of fabrication drawings for the suspension bridge at Percé Geopark, located in Gaspésie.

Challenges

As the bridge is anchored on concrete footings directly cast on the mountain’s bedrock, precise coordination of the footing locations and support cables posed a major challenge. During installation, the cable angles caused issues, conflicting with the handrails of the bridge. We designed a machined steel “hand” to redirect the support cables, ensuring proper installation of the bridge.
